Kara C. Groff Owner/Pet Care Specialist Kara@GroffFuneralHomes.com

Kara C. Groff, third generation funeral director, is the owner and president of Groff Pet Loss Services. In addition she works as the Executive Director at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory and Meadow Green Memorial Park. She is a 2003 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Sandusky. Kara received a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Xavier University in 2006 and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in management from John Carroll University in 2011. She received her Funeral Director's license in 2013. When Kara joined the family business in 2010, she and her father, Leon Groff, saw the great need our community had for a local pet cremation service. Kara's love of animals, along with her entrepreneurial spirit, ensure that Groff Pet Loss Services offers the very best care to pets in the Erie County Ohio area.

Kara grew up with beautiful goldren retreivers as part of her family, and loves to watch her children play with their Miniture Australian Shepherd, Major.  She is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sandusky, Sandusky Rotary Club, Plum Brook Country Club, Ohio Cemetery Association, National Funeral Directors Association, and the Pet Loss Professional Alliance. Kara resides in Sandusky, with her children, Macie and Drew.

Jacquelyn Williams Pet Care Director and Crematory Technician GroffPetLoss@gmail.com

Jacquelyn R. Williams joined our team in January of 2020 and works as a Pet Care Specialist at Groff Pet Loss Services, as well as an administrative assistant for our cemetery grounds crew at Meadow Green Memorial Park.  In addition, she shares her talents by assisting part time at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory as a staff associate. She is a 1994 graduate of Elyria West High School, and attended LCJVS in Wellington, OH her senior year for Administrative Services.   She went to LCCC in 1996 to become a certified dental assistant, and worked in the dental field for 22 years. She has also obtained her crematory certification through the state of Ohio.
 
Jacquelyn has always had a passion for the funeral industry, and her caring personality is a light for the families she serves.  She is an excellent fit for our pet division as her empathy and compassion for pets and their owners runs deep.  Jackie has had pets her whole life, from cats and dogs, to bird and turtles. She currently resides in Milan with her 13 year old maltese/shihtzu dog, Ms. BabyGirl, 1 year old kitty, Nellie, and 2 month old Maltese, Iris. If she's not at work, you can guarantee they are spending their quality time together!

Geoffrey A. Cleveland Pet Care Specialist & Crematory Technician

Geoffrey A. Cleveland is part of the Groff Pet Loss Services team, working as a Pet Care Specialist and Crematory Technician, as well as being on the Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery Grounds Maintenance Crew. He is a 1998 graduate of Huron High School and attended Bowling Green State University where he studied sociology and communications. He is also a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter. He began working for Groff Pet Loss Services and Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery in 2018.

Geoff has always been an animal lover. As a child, his family included huskies, beagles, three cats and a bearded dragon. As an adult, one of his best buddies was his Westie, Dexter. His compassion and connection with families brings comfort to those who work with him. Geoff is active in the recovery community. He resides in Milan.

Tiffany A. Dauch Pet Care Specialist Tiffany@MeadowGreenMemorialPark.com

Tiffany A. Dauch joined the Groff Pet Loss Services team in August 2021.  Tiffany graduated from St. Mary's Central Catholic High School in 2010 and attended The Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati.  She obtained her Assocaites Degree in Early Childhood Education and made the Dean's List.  Tiffany is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and The Sandusky Yacht Club.  She enjoys summers with her family, especially fishing on Lake Erie with her boys.  Tiffany resides in Sandusky with her husband, Joe, three sons, Trae, Lake and Hank, two dogs and their chickens.

Stella Grief Therapy Puppy in Training

Stella is a Grief Therapy Puppy in Training! She joined our staff in 2022 as a furry family member of Jim & Lisa Recker.  Stella was born December 3, 2021 and is an F1 Standard Bernedoodle.  She is hypoallergenic and wonderful with people.  She is currently going through Puppy Kindergarten and will soon be trained to provide grief support.  Stella is available to bring joy to the families we serve upon request, and is always happy to join on fieldtrips and meet & greets!

BabyGirl is the loving, sweet little lady of our Pet Care Specialist, Jacquelyn R. Williams. She is a 13 year old Malteszu who loves sqeaky fries and cheeseburgers, and going bye byes, especially in big trucks!!

Major Human Resources Manager

Major is a miniature Australian Shepherd who takes care of his humans, Funeral Director Kara Groff and family. Major is a protective ladies man, always snuggling up to the women in his life. He loves walks, napping in the sunshine, and going outside to receive a treat, even when he doesn’t do “his business”. Major generally works after hours because he barks loud orders, especially when meeting new people!
